Narvik is especially famous for its ski field “Narvikfjellet”, however you can also find other possibilities such as hiking, cycling and top tour mountain hiking. If you wish to spice your stay with something a little different then we have the Arctic Train which traces the route along the deep Rombaksfjord before winding its passage up through the mountain side to the Swedish Border villages.
Narvik is Norway’s candidate for the prestigious World Cup in Alpine skiing for 2027. This has engaged the whole town who are always optimistic, welcoming, and happy to help.
If you are interested in history then Narvik can offer the powerful WWII history in the area and the “Battle of Narvik”. There is also the “Rallarkultur” the story of those who built the railway towards the Swedish border for the iron ore.
